An essential oil is a concentrated, hydrophobic liquid containing volatile aroma compounds from plants. Can I use fragrance oils for Aromatherapy? |
|
Fragrance oils may cause allergic reactions and sensitivity in some persons because of the petro-chemicals. Contrary to some thought, fragrance oils are not conducive to Aromatherapy. It is the life force of the plant that is involved in the healing, not inert chemical compounds, not to mention the toxicity that may occur. Also, don’t be fooled by commercial supper-market "Aromatherapy Air Fresheners," and the like. Read the labels. There are "fragrance" chemicals in there somewhere. Use only pure essential oils on yourself, family and in your products. |
